    Our Philosophy

Tara Integrative Medicine Clinic is a holistic clinic that offers conventional and alternative medical insight into patients’ conditions.

Our clinicians aim to help patients rebuild their health through advice, treatment, and recommendations. Our philosophy is to identify the root source of a health problem and teach patients to address the condition and self-heal.

We believe in health care prevention and not sick care, where symptoms can be alleviated with chemical medication. Some conditions are self-limiting, but being human and suffering avoidance, we tend to choose the fastest path, which is consuming quick relief medication that does not solve the root of the problem.

Building health is a long-term process, and the path to it starts from the correct identification of the root of the problem.

Without a known inter-related cause, treating the condition only masks or delays the progression of a disease.

However, some acute conditions that require surgery and hospitalization will often be referred to hospital physicians for follow-up.

Our mission here is to provide solutions to chronic conditions that often have no reasonable explanation from conventional blood tests or any other tests.

    Harmonize & Integrate

    Western Approach

Conventional Medicine is defined as medical doctors who treat symptoms and diseases using chemical based drugs, radiation, or surgery.

Pharmaceutical grade medication are powerful chemical that alters the neuro-hormonal processes in our body and often comes with a long list of side effects hence reserved for medical expert to prescribe.

Acute emergency cases are best suited with this approach and delay to treatment can be life threatening.

Integrative Medicine Approach -Combining West & East

To prevent missing out on quick referral or emergency treatment in hospital, a trained Integrative Medicine Physician should be able to distinguish an illness that is long standing or chronic from acute.

This is important to protect patient’s safety.

An integrative physician should also be able to correlate the conventional diagnostic from western medicine with the alternative healing approach.

At Tara Health Center, our aim is to restore the health status that is supposed to be or delay progression of disease.

    Eastern Approach

Alternative medicine has many approaches from spiritual healing to herbal medicine.

Chinese Medicine are mainly herbal based and require a longer period of time to take effect. The source of herbs is also another factor in treatment success; therefore our center only uses medicine that is registered with local authority and also has undergone stringent quality and efficacy test.

At our center, we specialise in Traditional Chinese Medicine using acupuncture and prescribed herbs.

Our physician is also trained in Japanese Acupuncture system which is very effective to clear Bad/ Evil ( 邪气)

Moxibustion ( Moxa) or Ai Chao Therapy is also practiced. Japanese method of moxibustion i.e. Kyutoshin technique is often used in certain conditions.

Cupping and Gua Sha is also employed to reduce muscle spasm and improve circulation

For more advance cases, Plum Flower( 梅花针)needle or acupotomy (小针刀)technique is utilised to clear condition.

General osteopathy, fascia massage and ligament alignment is also provided.
